En este artículo se analiza el trabajo cooperativo en las comunidades ribereñas (mestizas) ubicadas cerca de Iquitos. Se demostrará la manera cómo este "trabajo con celebración" (intercambio de mano de obra) está prosperando a pesar de la vinculación directa del campesinado con la economía de mercado.
