Este artigo analisa o trabalho cooperativo nas comunidades ribeirinhas (mestiças) localizadas próximas a Iquitos. Demonstra-se como esse “trabalho com celebração” (troca de mão de obra) continua prosperando apesar da inserção direta do campesinato na economia de mercado.
