Longevidade Cerâmica e Interpretação Arqueológica: Um Exemplo do Alto Ucayali

A longevidade diferencial das formas de recipientes cerâmicos afeta a frequência dessas formas em um depósito de lixo arqueológico. As frequências das formas modernas de recipientes Conibo em uso são projetadas no registro arqueológico, e os resultados são comparados com as frequências de formas anteriores provenientes de sítios arqueológicos do Alto Ucayali. São discutidas algumas variáveis, além da longevidade diferencial, necessárias para explicar as diferentes frequências. Também é explorada a utilidade dos dados de longevidade para estimar a população necessária para produzir um depósito de lixo arqueológico.
