Research on the Medicinal Plants of the Shipibo-Konibo of Ucayali

This article deals with the traditional medicine and medicinal plants of the Shipibo-Konibo Indigenous people. It is based on research conducted in three communities of this group, selected for their different characteristics. Shipibo-Konibo traditional medicine has been little studied, despite the fact that they are the largest Indigenous group in Ucayali, occupying the riverbanks from Bolognesi to Contamana, and have major economic and cultural importance throughout the Department of Ucayali.
