Responsibilities of the Editor and the Editorial Board

- The editor in charge and the editorial board of the journal have the obligation to ensure the quality of the published material, striving to apply objective criteria and excluding any type of discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs.

- Both the editor in charge and the editorial board that supports them must safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of the confidential information provided by the journal's authors.

- Both the editor in charge and the editorial board are prohibited from using unpublished material for personal, group, or institutional benefit without the express consent and acceptance of the respective contributors.

- The editor in charge of the journal undertakes to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies if the situation warrants it.

- Both the editor in charge of the journal and the editorial board that composes it ensure the anonymity of the peer reviewers of the material received.

- It is the responsibility of the editorial team to promptly report the results of the evaluation of submissions.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

- Peer reviewers agree to apply clear and objective criteria in their reviews, excluding any discrimination based on the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs.

- Reviewers agree to treat the submitted material as confidential. They are prohibited from discussing or commenting on the work with third parties during the review period.

- Reviewers will disqualify themselves at the slightest suspicion of a conflict of interest.

- Reviewers are prohibited from any use of the submitted material during the evaluation, selection, and publication process.

Responsibilities of Authors

- All authors, editors, and reviewers are encouraged to study and follow the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) at all stages of the process.

- Authors or contributors must guarantee the reliability of the data submitted with their submission.

- Authors must guarantee the originality of the submitted material. Amazonía Peruana Journal does not accept previously published works, regardless of the format.

- Amazonía Peruana Journal strongly rejects any instance of plagiarism, whether partial or total. Therefore, the author must ensure proper acknowledgment of the sources used through the citation form required by the journal (Guidelines for Authors).

- Authors are solely responsible for submitting their material in the format required by the journal (Guidelines for Authors). The journal reserves the right to reject submissions solely for failure to comply with the submission guidelines.

Authenticity

Amazonía Peruana Journal uses the Cross iThenticate plagiarism detector to determine the authenticity of submitted manuscripts. Through this service, we can detect if a manuscript contains passages that appear in other publications or resources. Duplication should not exceed 10%.
