Este artículo examina la creación, circulación y consumo de bienes intercambiables de fibra de palmera entre los Urarina, una sociedad semi-nómada y horticultural de la Amazonía Peruana. Este trabajo demuestra cómo la moneda de tela de los Urarina adquiere valor a través de su circulación dentro de las esferas múltiples de intercambio, variando desde la transmisión de posesiones inalienables al flujo diario de mercancías, constituyéndose en práctica esencial para la reproducción de su sociedad.
