“Nunkui” and the Establishment of a Civilized Social Order

The Núnkui myth, belonging to the Aguarnna (Jíbaros) ethnic group of Peru, is described from two perspectives: semiolinguistic and anthropological. In our case, interdisciplinary collaboration is essential; however, it is vitally important to respect each other’s contributions. Here, the authors carry out independent yet complementary tasks to provide as broad a perspective as possible on the narrative and the ethnic implications of the myth.
