Status de la mujer y cambio por aculturación

Los autores comienzan con una revisión teórica de los estudios sobre la diferenciación sexual de roles en las sociedades. Analizan el cambio en los roles de los jemininos en las sociedades indígenas en relación a su nivel de aculturación y su participación en el mercado. Con estos antecedentes estudian tres casos de la Amazonía peruana: Candoshi, Cocamilla y Shipibo. Usan estos datos para confirmar la importancia de las hipótesis presentadas anteriormente.
