Aido-Pãi Migrations (Secoya, Piojé)

In this article, based on both fieldwork and ethnohistorical research, the author explores the nomadic behavior of extended Secoya families from the Yubineto and Putumayo rivers. Information on the fission and recomposition of clans is also presented. Based on this information, the author suggests more appropriate criteria for government institutions involved in land titling and the legal allocation of land to Native communities.
