Digital Preservation

• The content of the journal Amazonía peruana is stored on external hard drives at the Centro Amazónico de Antropología y Aplicación Práctica (CAAAP).
• Amazonía peruana uses OJS, which provides the PKP-PN (PKP-Preservation Network) tool that enables the preservation of its content using LOCKSS. LOCKSS offers a decentralized preservation system distributed among participating libraries and allows for the creation of permanent archives of the journal for conservation and restoration purposes, ensuring perpetual, uninterrupted access. The PKP-PN ensures that journals not part of any other digital preservation service (such as CLOCKSS or Portico) can be preserved for long-term access.
